It's official, we are launching SIAF 2021!
We are exactly four months away from the Slovak International Air Fest (SIAF) 2021 and the confirmed participation of foreign guests is more than attractive. The program at the Kuchyna/Malacky Airport will be really packed!
Slovakia can see light at the end of the tunnel and everything indicates that mass events will be given the green light. As a result, the preparations for SIAF 2021 gain sharper contours, which our whole team is really happy about. This year of the SIAF will be, among other things, a new start for us. Because after a one-year break due to COVID-19, we are starting a new stage and, most importantly, because the Sliac Airport is being refurbished, we are moving to the Kuchyna/Malacky Airport. So, if you do not have the date September 4-5, 2021 marked in your calendar yet, reserve it for SIAF at the Kuchyna/Malacky Airport.
A behind-the-scenes look
Currently, the situation at the SIAF "base" is that we are creating the project documents and preparing the transport solution; then we will present all our steps to partners. However, we also feel obliged or rather we feel the need to inform you, dear supporters of ourselves, about everything that awaits you at SIAF 2021.
A total of 22 countries have been invited to SIAF 2021 through the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, and we can already say with certainty that our invitation has been definitively accepted by the Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, the USA as well as Italy. Greece, Spain and Romania apologized for non-participation. We currently expect either positive or negative responses from other countries; we are still waiting for the responses. But we can already promise you that we will keep you informed by means of regular updates about the individual countries that have confirmed their participation. We will gradually also reveal the specific technical equipment with which they will fly to Slovakia.
We can tell you now already that during the month of May we will start the advance sale of tickets for SIAF 2021. However, we will inform you about this in advance.
We are responsible
As we cannot forget about measures related to the pandemic when organizing mass events, we actively communicate and work closely with the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and the entire pandemic commission. The topic of our discussions is also what rules will be set at the end of the summer when organizing mass events. We believe that SIAF will be the first pioneer and at the same time an indicator of how such large events are organized after the pandemic.
